Daly bill up for vote this coming Monday

I received this email from Plan C. If you have time to call your supervisor or volunteer, please contact Plan C. For more information visit their website www.plancsf.org.

From the email...
DALY ANTI-CONDO BILL GOES TO FULL BOARD ON MONDAY, JAN. 10 Chris Daly’s bill to require 2-4 unit buildings to go through public hearings at the Planning Department will go to a full Board of Supervisors vote on Monday, January 10. Now is your last chance to let the supervisors know that this is terrible legislation. As we’ve mentioned before, this bill would add significant cost, time, and risk to an already impossible condo-conversion process for small buildings owners. (Even worse, we think this is what Supervisor Daly really wants.) There is no urgent need for Plan C members to attend the board meeting (since there is no public comment), but emails and calls to the supervisors will really help between now and Monday. Click here for the action alert. Visit www.sfgov.org to find contact information for the Supervisor of your district.

We will be doing another mailing this Saturday, January 7 (between 2 and 4PM) to the TIC and pro-homeownership communities, so if you can spare an afternoon to lick and stamp some envelopes, send an email to info@plancsf.org. 2006 is shaping up to be a busy year, with key supervisor races in November, more homeownership battles looming, and some government efficiency/civil service projects cooking. Please keep letting us know what you think about San Francisco quality of life issues, and we'll look forward to more efforts to make San Francisco a better place.
